Hot on the heels of our Cathedral Estates website launch, we’re pleased to announce we’ve put the Proform website live.

Back in January we began work on the designs of the website, once again working in conjunction with Projector who created the branding and some fantastic offline work.

David was a pleasure to work with throughout the project and his constant input into the website content ensured that the final product is something he’s very happy with. We’d also like to thank David for the copious amounts of chocolate he brought into the studio last week as a thank you for our work, half of which has already ‘disappeared‘.

We’re pleased to announce the latest addition to our portfolio, Cathedral Estates.

After working with Cathedral in 2009 on their Lettings website, they returned to work with us earlier this year to add a new element to their business.

The Lettings website was such a success and a hit with their customers that Cathedral decided we’d hit the nail on the head first time around, opting for an Estates-branded version of the Lettings website.

We worked closely with Projector on the project and the brand they produced for Cathedral Estates is as usual, fantastic.

We’re pleased to reveal our latest project going live for the lovely people over at Skyrocket. We’ve worked closely with the Skyrocket team throughout the project to create something bespoke to their needs.

The website is just the first of many projects we’re hoping to work on with Skyrocket so keep an eye out for related projects further in the not so distant future.

Yesterday we posted a roundup of what we’ve been up to the last 4 or 5 weeks. Today we’re pleased to announce we’ve launched our latest website, Otter Recruitment.

We’ve been working closely with Charlie Bennett over at Otter Recruitment for the last 7 or 8 weeks or so on one our most enjoyable projects to date. Otter Recruitment provides a bespoke recruitment service to both employers and candidates, so it was no surprise that Charlie was a pleasure to work with throughout the project.

We recently launched one of our biggest websites to date, Purple Books.

Purple Books is the place for students to buy and sell second hand textbooks quickly and easily. The site has a ton of features that help its users search for books and can facilitate online sales as well as buyers and sellers meeting up to trade books.

The site already has over 1000 registered users and after some hard work from the Purple Book team at various Freshers fairs in the last few weeks, they will be almost doubling that number in the near future!

It’s been a busy few weeks here at Union Room. Since our last catch up, we’ve launched the new website for Quick.tv.  It’s one of our biggest projects to date and we’re very pleased with what we’ve achieved with the site.

Quick.tv is an online platform which allows you to manage, enhance and monetize, publish, deliver and analyze your web interactive video.

We launched Jumpstart on Tuesday (5th of May) and since then the website has began to pick up a fair bit of kudos in the design community, namely from two juggernauts of the web world in creattica and css mania.

Creattica featured the site in it’s CSS Websites section and it’s currently sitting near the top of the daily top rated list.

We were also very pleasantly surprised to find the Jumpstart website featured on CSS Mania, one of Union Rooms favourite CSS galleries! On top of the site being featured, we also received a nice little ‘loved’ logo on our screenshot which means that the site if one of CSS Mania’s favourites, which is a great compliment!

Hopefully the site can go on and get some more recognition in the future.

We have recently been involved with a new public transport initiative, Smarter Choices – part of the Nexus suite of companies.

We have been working with the marketing team providing creative input and refining areas of the website ready for the campaign, which launched on the 4th March to a very welcoming audience at Newcastle’s Pitcher & Piano. The project is ongoing and we currently enjoying working on other creative elements for the campaign.

We are excited to add Beacon Purchasing www.beaconpurchasing.co.uk the parent company of Best Western Hotels to our client list, providing them with our online design and marketing expertise. We will be developing the Beacon Green Hotel – a 3D virtual hotel walk-through experience allowing users to explore the hotel while learning about the various green products and services featured within.

We are excited to have started working with St. Joseph’s RC Middle School, Hexham, developing a school online report system (ORS) for all the teaching staff to use.

The system is an eagerly awaited solution to a long-term problem. The ORS will allow teachers to write student reports remotely from any online location, any time of the day. This will remove the current restrictions placed on teachers having to write reports at school.

Other advantages include automatic notification when a report is completed, a comprehensive student search method and automatic PDF generation of completed reports.
