Inspired by a little conversation we had on Twitter earlier, we decided it’d be a great idea to compile a list of some really great simple websites we’ve seen recently.

I’m a big fan of white space on websites, I like my content to breathe and these websites look great with minimal content.

Each and every web site looks great. I also like white space. All site is net and clean.

These designs are very intuitive, easy to navigate, don’t look in any way cluttered and highly effective. I think sometimes it’s very easy for web designers to overcomplicate their designs just to show off some of their skills. These are a great example of how it should be done and I bet they load really quickly too.

Favourite is the ycm website. Great simplicity yet still fantastic design. They have maximised their userbility by haveing a simple layout.

I like the duckbar website. I like the blue background. I don’t know why I am so addicted to any lighter shade of blue. Btw.. that looks cool and simple.

I really like the orange peel site,

I like the way the simplicity only allows you to focus on the content with no disractions.

Not sure about the “purple cow” reference in the heading though. Is this related to Seth Godin’s Purple Cow book?
